The NC3Rs and BBSRC are hosting a 1.5 day meeting on 1 – 2 April 2009 to highlight the potential of tissue engineering as a scientifically robust means to replace animals. In addition, the NC3Rs is hosting a half-day speed-networking event on 1 April 2009 for tissue engineers from universities and biotechnology companies to meet and discuss their models with representatives from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Registration for both events closes on 9 February 2009.
